The story is interesting as it is rooted in contemporary and contextual politics - it is about communal and commercial politics. It is all typical stuff from the big burly actor and he enjoys his role and in the process also make you enjoy too. Bharathchandran IPS is a good case in point. And to help,Suresh Gopi is always fire and brimstone while taking up contemporary themes. It can be predictable but you will never feel hackneyed. Full of action and plenty of typical fun. A film that has Suresh Gopi as a police officer is like a James Hadley Chase novel.
